Start Your Day Right

If you’re anything like us at Maximuscle HQ, you’ll love breakfast. But even the best of us can get stuck in a rut and eat the same boring foods, day in day out. Maximuscle have compiled a list of tip top breakfasts that will help start your day right.

BREAK THE FAST

A staggering one third* of us regularly miss the hailed ‘most important meal of the day’. Breakfast is really important for setting up your day right by kick starting your metabolism and offers much needed calories and essential nutrients which your body hasn’t had for hours during sleep.

One of the common reasons people miss breakfast is because of time, or the lack of it. Many would rather hit the snooze button and have an extra 10 minutes in bed rather than sit at the breakfast table.

See below for Maximuscle’s super quick and easy nutrient packed breakfasts.

Apricot, cranberry and maple syrup bircher

Grab a re-sealable container and mix together; ½ cup oats, 2 cut up dried apricots, ¼ cup mixed seeds, ¼ cup cranberries, ½ cup milk, 1 tsp maple syrup (2 if you’re feeling naughty). Pop the lid on and leave in the fridge overnight. Grab a spoon to enjoy straight away in the morning.

Banana and chocolate protein smoothie

If you’re looking for a bigger protein hit in your breakfast try adding a scoop of Maximuscle Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate to a convenient on-the-go smoothie.

Whizz one large banana in a blender with about 200 ml almond milk (quantity depending on how think you like your smoothies). Add 1 scoop Maximuscle Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate and blend until thoroughly mixed.

Fruit bread sandwich

Toast 2 slices of fruit bread and sandwich together with cut up banana in-between to munch while you’re on your way to work.

Raspberry protein porridge

Take your porridge to the next level by adding 1 scoop of Maximuscle Raspberry WPC, and topping with fresh banana and a dash of honey.

Peanut butter overnight oats

Mix together ½ cup oats, ½ cup milk, 1 tsp honey, 1 tbsp peanut butter and grate an apple over the top to give it extra crunch before replacing the lid and placing the fridge overnight.
