Body Charging Amino Acids ?

When working out, it is important to promote muscle maintenance and growth.

Protein is composed of amino acids and BCAAs refer to three of the 20 amino acids – leucine, isoleucine and valine, each of which cannot be synthesised by the body and must therefore be provided in the diet. BCAAs constitute approximately 1/3 of skeletal muscle protein.

What are BCAAs used for?

BCAAs are a rapid supplement which are metabolised primarily in skeletal muscle, meaning they skip your liver and directly enter your bloodstream to provide your body with these essential amino acids. They are the building blocks of protein.

What is BCAA powder?

BCAA supplements come in two forms – tablets and BCAA powder. They can be taken up to 3 times a day depending on the serving size and concentration (so always follow the manufacturer’s instructions). The powder can be mixed with water, a cordial or sports drink for use during a workout. Tablets are usually swallowed whole with water. BCAAs can also be taken before or post-workout provided that the recommended daily dose is not exceeded.
