Why Should I Use Whey Protein Powder?
Protein is an essential nutrient for life, responsible for numerous functions, like supporting the building of tissue, cells and muscle. Muscle growth relies on adequate proteins being available. That means a balance between protein intake and protein breakdown; something scientists call protein balance. Proteins are made from a collection of up to 20 amino acids.
Protein sources are ranked based on their amino acid profile, biological value (BV) and digestibility. As measured through nitrogen balance, BV compares protein sources against a known constant - in this case egg, which has a score of 100, meaning that the protein in egg is efficiently utilised by the body, in the absence of excreted nitrogen.
For whey protein the BV is 104, ranking it as number 1. More recently, BV has been bolstered by using the digestibility of protein – the Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS). Unlike BV, that makes an assumption on digestibility by using 'usability', PDCAAS uses the known amino acid reference score and corrects it with the true faecal digestibility. Once again, whey comes out with a top score of 1.0, as do all dairy based proteins.

How to Get the Best Results From MaxWhey Protein Powder
Max Whey comes in convenient 420g, grab-able bag that fits perfectly in your gym bag to give you a convenient protein shake that is ideally taken after your work-out. It can also be used throughout the day to increase your protein intake. There are 16 servings in each pouch; taking two servings per day each bag will last over a week.
For one serving, mix three level scoops (30g) with 200-250ml of water in a Maxinutrition shaker. Do not exceed three servings per day. Some may prefer to mix Max Whey with milk, but please bear in mind that this will slow protein digestion, not to mention the added calories. You can make it as a shake, add it to food, cook with it. Whey might be considered more of a jack of all trades, but the big difference is that it's good at all, rather than the master of none.
